Two Door Cinema Club celebrate the 15th anniversary of their acclaimed debut Tourist History with new vinyl editions via [PIAS] Recordings, marking the first time the album’s tracks have been pressed to wax.
Originally released in 2010, Tourist History reached number one on the Irish charts, earned a place on the BBC Sound of 2010 Poll, and went on to become a global success. Its runaway hit ‘What You Know’ has since surpassed one billion Spotify streams, cementing the record’s enduring legacy as a landmark indie debut.
Formed in Bangor, Northern Ireland, Two Door Cinema Club — Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday, and Kevin Baird — began writing together in Trimble’s parents’ garage. Skipping university to focus on music, the trio self-released their 2009 EP Four Words to Stand On, generating early online buzz with ‘Something Good Can Work’ and setting the stage for their meteoric rise.
