EMF - Schubert Dip - Indies Edition
EMF were formed in late 1989 in Cinderford, in the Forest of Dean with a line-up comprising lead singer James Atkin, with guitarist Ian Dench, keyboardist Derry Brownson, bassist Zac Foley and drummer Mark Decloedt. Their name stood for Epsom Mad Funkers which was taken from the description given to New Order fans by music journalist David Quantick in the NME. They exploded onto the global stage with their infectious blend of dance, rock, and pop, and their debut album ‘Schubert Dip’ (which contained the hit singles ‘I Believe’, ‘Lies’, and ‘Children’ plus the smash hit 'Unbelievable', a song that would go on to define a generation and top charts worldwide) captured this raw energy and genre-defying sound. 2LP Edition: This expanded deluxe edition of that first album celebrates its 35th anniversary in style over two LPs with the original album in its entirety on LP1 bolstered with a selection of eight remixes of the albums four hit singles, personally selected by members of the band on LP2.
